ASNA's Iftar

On June 10th, ASNA organized an Iftar for one and all. From families to long term (maybe even long lost) friends, all sat in one auditorium gathered together as a whole, watching children connect and play and make new friends, themselves! We started it off with our president's, Mohammed Hadiouche, opening speech, right after having Nada Ragoub recite a verse from our blessed Quran. After the commencement speech, we had Amina Titraoui give us an inspiring speech on the benefits of Ramadan and why we are lucky to fast this month. Amina Abada then shared an ancient, yet heartwarming nasheed, lost in the centuries, "As Subhu Bada Min talatihi." Then she, Nada Ragoub, Zeineb Abada, and Meriem Ragoub, sang a nasheed for us by Maher Zain. Soon after, a video of ASNA's events "Through the Years," was projected and shared with all past members and new members. (you can check the video here! or on ASNA's YouTube Channel!)

Happy of the successes that they put forth, our organization awarded Amira Esseghir, Doctor of Dental Medicine, and Salim Bendaoud, Doctor of Philosophy in Neuroscience, with plaques to honor their recent successes of achieving their new titles.

Also honoring our Algerian pride, Reem Esseghir was awarded 1st place in the 2016 Abdelkader Global Leadership Prize essay contest. We were happy to hear her speech!

We closed our evening with Megdouda Abada's ending speech about the importance of the Youth's role in making ASNA.

This was an eventful day, with lots of happiness, and laughs, (and food!)

Hopes up for the Eid event! Visit our website for pictures
